Initial Set Up

Contact ZenCharts to let us know you or a prescriber is interested in setting up DoseSpot

ZenCharts will e-mail you a DoseSpot registration form, fill out the documentation and e-mail it back to ZenCharts

ZenCharts and DoseSpot will set up the users ePrescribing account, then contact you when it is ready for the prescriber to log into and for them to complete their sign up process.
Prescriber Sign Up Process
1. Log into ZenCharts
2. Click into any current patient’s chart (Note that the current client's chart must contain some basic information completed in the client's facesheet in ZenCharts, such as: First & Last name, DOB, Address, phone number and Birth Sex - otherwise, the e-prescribing page may give you an error message saying that certain information is missing)
3. Navigate to the Medical Section
4. Click into the 'ePrescribing' tab - the e-prescribing page should look similar to the image below:
5. Follow the prompts to accept all agreements and complete the Experian identity proofing process.
(For identity proofing, they may request your SS# as well as credit card information, this information is not used or saved by anyone else, it is strictly used for Experian's identity proofing process. Please use a personal credit card (not a business card or debit card) for this step)
Once you have successfully completed the Identity Proofing Process, you may start prescribing non-controlled medications.
If you have requested to also prescribe controlled substances, please let us know when you have successfully completed the identity proofing process, so we can turn on the Two Factor Authentication setup process for prescribing controlled substances for you.
Instructions for completing the TFA Setup:
Once you have contacted us after completing identity proofing to let us know you are ready to start the TFA processes, follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to the e-prescribing page in any current client's chart
2. Click on the exclamation point (!) next to where it says Welcome (your name) - This is towards the upper left part of the page
3. Click the link to begin the TFA Process (Be sure to enter your cell phone number when prompted)
4. You will receive 2 text messages. Click the link in the first text message to download the DUO Mobile App to your cell phone. Then click on the second link to connect your DoseSpot account with the App (If you have the DUO Mobile app on your phone already, then just go straight to clicking the second link)
5. Once this is set up on your phone successfully, you will see DoseSpot listed in the app with a 6 digit code - This is your TFA code. Use this number to complete the prompts on the e-Prescribing page by entering the PIN number you've created upon initial set up and the TFA code listed within the app on your cell phone.
Congratulations! You've completed the setup and signup process for Two Factor Authentication - and you may now begin e-Prescribing controlled medications via DoseSpot.
When e-prescribing controlled medications, you will be prompted to enter your PIN and a TFA code, use your Duo Mobile app to generate a new TFA code each time.
