How to Create and Update Order Protocols (v3)
Note: Creating and updating Saved Order Templates is by default a System Administrator function, unless granted special access by an SA for you to manage
Order Protocols tie together your Saved Order Template into a set, so you are essentially creating order sets that can be added to client's charts with a few clicks.
For example, if your facility has multiple standard PRN comfort medications that is ordered for most clients upon admission, it would be beneficial to have a protocol with all of these individual order templates tied together as a PRN Comfort Medications Protocol. Another example would be a protocol for admission orders. You can create as many order sets/protocols as you need.
