Changing Patient Label

As the field progresses labels change such as Substance Abuse to Substance Use.  In the case of a patient label, many facilities utilize various titles for the patient to name a few:

Client
Participant
Consumer
Resident
Individual

There are times in an agencies growth that they shift these labels to be more in alignment with current acceptable terminology.  Normally, this is taken care of in your implementation phase.  Let me walk you through how to readjust thhe "Patient" label within ZenCharts.

First go to your main Navigation:

Now select Housing.  From the Housing tab select Residence/Rooms.

Now from the top right corner of the location select the pencil.

Now look in the middle of the page and to the right for Patient Rename and Guest Rename.  Change the name to whatever you choose and at the bottom of the page select "Update Facility"
