How to Edit Active Orders (v3)

Important Note: Orders entered as an action order ( any order that does not have a medication selected from the RxNorm search) as well as taper/titration orders, will not have the edit pencil with option to edit. If those orders need to be updated, you will need to discontinue that order and enter a new one with the changes.

Standard Medication Orders Note: Not Every field in an order can be edited. The following are the fields that cannot be edited:

Step 1 of the Ordering Wizard "Order Type" - Medication/Action Name, and Define Order Type.

Step 2 "Order Specifications"- The Rx Norm Medication selection

If you do need to edit one of these fields, you will need to discontinue the order and enter a new order)
